21700 AM04 Internal Design

The AM04 is designed without traditional tabs and instead uses collector plates which are laser-welded to copper or aluminum current collectors, which are thin metal strips extending from the anode and cathode. These collectors are laser welded in an S-shaped pattern to the collector plates before being assembled into in the cell's metal casing, where a spiral laser weld secures the negative collector plate to the cell casing.
